BenQ W10000 1080p projectors Review

BenQ is an important player in the first display technology DLP 1080p projectors for years, and last flagship projector, the BenQ W10000, is a smart design of new chips from Texas Instruments 1080p projectors  resolution. Design
The BenQ W10000 total basic design with a touch of sweetness. The remote is simple, well within the design. Is long and thin with backlight for use in the dark theater. A shortcut keys for all inputs, aspect ratio, the image and controls. The menu key and navigation keys are at the center of the device. The zoom, focus and lens shift are all directly on the remote. With these functions, direct access and the touch screen facilitates remote programming for installers. The internal menu system is simple and easy to navigate, with a total of five pages, the first page is the basic control, picture modes, color temperature selection.

Features
This projector is equipped with utility to assist in the creation and development of the picture for optimum performance. A number of preset picture modes are on board and Cinema, Home Theater, Family Room, photos and games. We have home theater, because it is the best approximation of a well-calibrated image. BenQ is one of the few manufacturers of front projection, with a high-end label Runco to the ISF mode day and night, one technician, two modes, which are completely blocked calibrated.

The W10000, connection options are somewhat limited, because there is only one HDMI input, where most high-end displays have two or more. A component video input and an RGBHV input with BNC connectors, which can also be configured for component video, is the second best video connection available. Performance
The overall performance of the BenQ W10000 is very good, especially after calibration. But even if you simply select the mode of home theater and the temperature of warm color, you must use the ball in the park without a full calibration. This was our starting point.
The W10000 has a 250 watt lamp with an ANSI lumens of light output of 1200 and is capable of processing large screen sizes. With our relatively small 72-inch screen StudioTek 130, we have the iris or two clicks on the lowest setting. This adjustment led light enough (about 13.5 footlamberts) black, while maintaining levels. After calibration results were impressive. Gamma is well implemented, with a nice slow increase of black, which allows the projector to provide shade for excellent detail. Grayscale tracking was very good, but it could be some improvements, and it decreased slightly blue at the top of the grayscale.
The colors are very accurate in general. Primary colors of the plant have been, but we were able to see the primary colors, and very close to the specification of the color feature HD 3D color management in the Advanced menu (see box below Geek ). Unfortunately, we were unable to choose the secondary colors are almost as accurate, so BenQ is still work to make this program. This means that the decoder does not work correctly because if you adjust the primary colors, secondary colors, the result must be correct.

Demonstrations of color, our favorite is the HD-DVD transfer of Seabiscuit, which remains one of the best titles in the search. Chapter 12 and 13 are in the open landscape, with lots of grass, tree leaves and other objects that I know well. Chapter 13 is a lot of saturated colors, as the rider uniforms, which are currently on the BenQ, with the primary colors reasonably accurate.

Chapter 3 on HD DVD of Batman Begins where Bruce Wayne is in solitary confinement in a Chinese prison, is a demanding shadow detail and black level test. The cell is very dark and dingy, and we were all the smallest details in the gray wall, and minutes to see the textures on the face and clothing. Blacks were clean and there were very few "dithering" noise just above black, excellent video processing.

HD channels on our cable system is not as captivating as the HD-DVD equipment, due to strong compression. However, Discovery HD and HDNet are really good. Even in standard definition, such as TCM and CNN seems fairly clean and quiet, again, the video processing of the BenQ W10000 1080p projectors.
